Parma Weather in October:

Temperature
The month of October is characterized by rapidly falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs decreasing from 22°C to 15°C over the course of the month, exceeding 26°C or dropping below 12°C only one day in ten.
The weather in the area for the same date last year was decent. THe month started in the 20's and ended in the single digits, so anything is possible!

A few us stayed at Villa Ducale last year. It's the closet place to the stadium a 5 mins stroll and only a 15 min taxi from the airport. It isn't in the center of town but again only 10 mins by cab or a 25 min walk which was handy enough. The hotel itself was nice enough and relatively good value, will probably be staying there again if I head over this year.
Weather wise it was a bit of a mixed bag last year from memory, I remember there being a fair bit of rain the day before the game, game day was overcast few showers but not cold and the following day was sunny and warm.

118. Flying Dublin to Bologna on the Friday afternoon, at around 4. Fly home from Bologna on the Sunday at around 6. Both with Ryanair. The only way I saw of flying into Parma, was with Ryanair from Stansted, but the flight times didnt suit at all.
I didnt do too much research to be honest. Need to look for accomodation soon.
Anyone who has been before, or tempted to go this year, have any recommendations?

That is the 2nd HCup weekend, we were away to Zebre on the 1st weekend last year.
If the draw works out, this could be the smartest thing you have ever done.

I did the train between Parma and Bologna last year, day after the match, less than an hour and not that expensive think €15. Tickets can be got from Auto machine's (options for English instructions)at station.
Bus link from Bologna Airport drops you right outside train station and is only €6, think it runs every 20 mins.
Train station is 5 min taxi ride from Parma city centre.
