Thought Johhn was brilliant when he was captain last year. I wonder is it him that we are majorly missing as th pack leader.

Muldoon doesnt want to be captain. He was delighted when it was taken off him.
He wanted to use this year to get his head back in the game after all the injuries, and just concentrate on playing.

I agree that we need someone in the pack taking control though

i was all for this when duffy was named maybe a reward for staying last year when ulster wanted him big time. now i am not to sure at all. playing full back he is always the futherest away from the play. i agree with only the captain talking/questioning the ref but by the time gav has run over the ref has already moved on and connacht not getting an explanation.
last night niall o connor was over at the main stand, we had a penilty and gavin was running over to the clan when the ball was kicked to touch. i think gav tought it would be a scrum. who made this call. who is the leader. gav turned around and ran back to full back. we need a captain in the pack. john muldoon is playing to his best and if you look at him during the match he is fairly pissed off with his players. i say give him the captain armband so we will have an old head to lead us on the pitch. gav is to far away in full back

Gav will be great. Always a leader on the pitch. And will Mul will continue to be as important as ever.

Gavin is the obvious replacement for Muldoon, he has served the Province well and deserves to be recognised, make Ballina proud Gavin!!!!
