McCrea at 13 is interesting, perhaps a sign he might be tried there v Cardiff with Griffin a doubt.
Looks like it'll be a very strong Munster side for this one which I think is good news.
I know teams are trying to keep costs down for these type of games i.e. played in daylight hours etc. but I really think this could have drawn a half decent crowd on Friday evening. If we are hoping to get fans for the British and Irish Cup games next season I think its important the majority of fans are given a chance to see a few A games this season.

Very young and exciting Connacht team named.
Good chance for the likes of Gannon, Grace, Moore, Murphy, McKeon and McCrea to stake claims for places in the upcoming games. We need these guys to step up and challenge for starting places.
Would like to have seen Vainikolo get a run out. Maybe he's still injured
He is, he was doing rehab on his knee today according to his new Twitter account...

This youthful Connacht side will face an experienced Munster side with players such as Marcus Horan, Damian Varley, BJ Botha, James Coughlan and Tomás O’Leary all named in the squad.
With players such as Denis Buckley, Mark McCrea, Dave Gannon and Dave Moore all vying for positions in the professional team this is a good opportunity for the whole squad to test themselves against quality opposition.

You have to laugh at Munster though. An A match is the ideal time to give young lads a chance yet they name the likes of Horan, Coughlan, Botha, Gleeson, Varley, and more.
