Sheridan is injured. His going to be out for a few months I think it was his knee. He looked strong in the one-two games I saw him in earlier in the season. Big lad and will develop into a good 12.

How long ago did you see Sheridan play? I'm not saying your wrong but a year or two at that age is a long time. And he could have put on muscle/improved ball skills etc. I've only seen him play on TV never live and was impressed by what he did. I'm actually happy with what we have in the centers at the mo I think it's at 9/10 we need a little more x-factor.

. Tonetti isn't really a flyhalf option at this level, but played at 13 a lot for Sale so again that increases our options.

I'd stay well away from Sheridan, never been impressed by him, for all his size he seeks to lack tackle breaking power, and has next to no ball skills.

I don't think we could have done better than Tonetti in signings at the mo. Hopefully Sheridan will now have the guts to follow him out west next year. Don't think he's played at all for Leinster this year but could be wrong.

Tonnetti is Far more developed as a player than Sheridan at this stage.

I don't care if there selling illegal kidneys as long as they get him. Tonetti/Griffin would be a fantastic pairing in center. Tonetti is a real 5/8 type of player who'll give us some much needed creativity in the back line.

P.S. Can anyone remember the other Leinster player who was meant to sign with him? He was a big 12 smasher if I recall.

Good signing and gives us a different option and a different type of player at 12.

Not sure what your point is. He got 11 starts (9 at number 12, 2 at 13) and 5 sub appearances for Sale in Premiership and Amlin Cup last year. He'd have done well to get any more than that here.

Anyone know what, if anything, this means as regards Keith Matthews comeback from injury?

If I remember correctly Tonettit is in the second year of a two year contract. If this goes well for him and us it could result in a permanent signing. Would be good to see.
