Look folks its not that hard to call the line out. its basic common sense and basic tactical awareness.

A professional rugby player should be well able to learn how to do it.

Granted some will be more tactically astute than others but it should be something any decent forward should be able to do.

Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.

Butler caught most of the lineouts today... Don't know if he can call

Foley seems to be always carrying an injury too. I think we are well stocked in the 2nd and back row.
A quality Tighthead and back 3 player is what's required.

Cannon calls lineouts when roux and thornbury aren’t playing, can foley do this?
Maksymiw must be one the coaches rate as he’s captaining the eagles, I’d expect him to get more game time next season along with Gallagher. Don’t think a second row is needed

Roux Dillane and later Thornbury will be used for Ireland
Foley would have as much time as Cannon has, which is way more than he has in Pau right now...

I don't think they'd be interested in coming to be squad players at Connacht, which with the depth we have in some of those positions is what they'd be, and while they'd be great additions, I'd prefer to see the likes of Gallagher and Boyle getting the game time, of the 3 Foley would be the one I'd have most interest in, and still he'd be behind Roux, Dillane and Thornbury at least for the big games.

Official from Pau

Foley, Dougall and Butler released (all experienced capped players from 28 to 30 y.o).
Cannon, Gallagher, Claffey, Connolly, McKeon are out of contract in the 2nd/Back-row
I'm the feeling at least one of them will sign for us...

That's a pity but one for the IRFU to monitor.

Callum Sheedy looked really good for Bristol at the weekend and I understand that he's been good all season in the times that Mads has been out. However we'd need some backing from the IRFU as I imagine he's on a decent amount already, but as he's not capped yet he wouldn't be on top bracket. Especially if there is a possibility of Carty being called up for world cup, another fly half would be really good (even if Godwin was good at the weekend, not sure that's a permanent move for him)

If we assume we sign Fitzgerald to replace Kelleher, and promote de Buitlear to replace the departed Scholes, then we do have a NIE/NIQ squad place (for the never-arrived Reece) but I can't see using it on an injury-prone Welsh qualified player.

More relevant question might be which Ospreys/Scarlets players are Irish qualified (Angus O'Brien, for instance)?

Will probably stay in Wales or be picked up by one of the English clubs.
Clayton Blommetjies wouldn't be a bad option and will probably be on the way out.

Sad and all as it is to see what’s going on in Wales but surely a chance to nick a few decent players, wouldn’t say no to Johnny mcnicholl replacing kelleher
