Don't want to be too defeatist as I think everyone is down in the dumps after last nights efforts but its looking increasingly obvious that we didn't recruit well to replace the departing players for 2011/12. There have been a few decent captures and a few more of the younger lads might make something given time (and opportunity) we'll have to wait and see but overall the success rate in signings since Eric Elwood took over is awful especially for the "big name signings".

Where do we need to start in the rebuilding process? Front row? Half Back? Multiple areas?

Its a real worry for me that a lot of our poor performers are tied into 2 year deals including a number of existing players from last season whose performances didn't justify 2 year deals but we're stuck with them now.

Really this is as bad a situation as we've been in for a long time. We had better teams who probably did worse than this team will do over the season but that was really down to the setup at the time.

And before anyone says this is an overreaction, can anyone think of one quality performance from this side since the start of the season? (Exclude Harlequins as the occasion was always going to get a performance)
