So it looks like Hamilton will be lining out for Gloucester once again this weekend seeing as the time limit has passed and there is no announcement.
Tell me how he wasn't cited for an eye gouge? Unbelievable stuff.
Considering Macca got a two-game ban because of a high tackle, how is that coward not on the sidelines for the weekend. Don't spare the leather lads!

After a couple of days to reflect, a fairly good performance but again a game that should have resulted in a WIN. Yahoo had his arse handed to him at scrum time, the forwards coach should consider this as unacceptable as he only played part of the game.
I think enough has been said about NOC will anything change ?? let's wait and see. I personally don't think so.
Centres were OK but we will never see their full potential until they can get the ball past the half backs, all in all not a bad performance but we must improve up front or we will be battered at Kingsholme.

Was impressed with McKeon wehen he came on alright, great to see him back

He had a few inches on us at the lineout alright

He led their maul pretty well as well. Something tells me if Swifty was playing he wouldn't have been as prominant

Noted a few people were down about the attendance at the weekend.

I note that the 5115 attendance took our total for the season to 33064 in the first 7 games. This exceeds the total attendance for last season of 31464 over 15 games (including the Samoa match).

So some good news :)

Sky showed that repeatedly (and in loving/gory detail). There's in independent citing commissioner for each match afaik; they usually have a few days to cite and I'd be shocked if he got away with it.

TV footage clearly showed Gannon in discomfort at one point.

ERC citing rules:

(ii) Citing commissioners are appointed by ERC for all Heineken Cup and all televised Amlin Challenge Cup matches and are entitled to make a citing complaint against a player for any act of foul play that, in the citing commissioner's opinion, warranted a red card. For such matches, clubs do not have the power to make a citing complaint against a player but may refer incidents to the citing commissioner.

I wouldn't be holding back on Hamilton, he was acting the prick for alot of the 1st half, threw Macca a few digs as well.

I think O Connor could be back this week. Fingers crossed. Griffin too hopefully

Rays looked a nast injury, mightn't see him for awhile with Swifty and Browne still on the treatment table. No word on Browne yet, huge loss this season

I could see 6.Mckeon 7.Mul 8 George, or else Gannon at 6, McKeon 8 and George in the 2nd row. Grace or TJ as back row cover

Didn't see it mentioned anywhere but i was looking at the TG4 highlights and the Gloucester #5 Hamilton appeared to gouge Dave Gannon in the ruck at one stage. TG4 showed a replay of it too. What is the process there, do Connacht have to report the big fool or is he automatically cited?
also what is the story with Rodney? You'd swear he was after playing two games instead of one half at the end. Hands on knees and getting pummeled in the scrum. Embarrassing stuff.

Pity about Concrete, will he make any H Cup games this season? Whoever it is in the scrum I hope they are wrecking the scrum machine this week. There should be no shortage of motivation within the team. This is an immediate chance to make amends for last weekend.

I think JOC is still out, and it looks like we'll be without Ray as well. Either McKeown, TJ or Grace to come in I guess.

I know it is early in the week but does anyone know if Swift or Concrete will be fit for this weekend. We could do with them in the scrum come Saturday.

Highlight of the day for me was the banter surrounding the hot bean garda walking up and down in front of the Clan terrace. Whoever started the rendition of "you've lost that loving feeling" is a genius! Fair play to her for having a laugh when the Gloucester fan jumped the wall and took her hat - she even let him give her a kiss on the cheek!

As far as the game goes - Mul summed it up on twitter when he said it's hard to be a connacht fan these days. Perhaps they were a little better this weekend, but it's another loss, and I wonder how much of our perceived improvement was down to Glucester not being very good either.

I wasn't too dissapointed with the attendance. It wasn't bad. Glasgow are going brilliant in the league and still in the hunt in their group and they only got a hundred or so more. Look at the other attendances over the weekend, more than Castres who had last years hc finalists visiting, more than Treviso who are going well and had a big European side visiting. Only a couple of thousand less than Ulster.

Basically outside your season ticket holders, 30 euro is a lot to see two average teams who are already out of Europe. I know its Heineken Cup but given our form we aren't going to attract some of the casual supporters from the Toulouse game back unless its a big name and at 30 euro people will think twice with an expensive time of year coming up and the game on telly. Gloucester are a big name club but at present aren't particularly strong.

You can have the excuses like shopping, exams, early kick off and that kind of thing but if we were going well it probably would have added significantly to the gate.

Overall though we've taken a massive step forward in that regard. If we can maintain a good core of our present st holders we will be doing well, really its up to the team then to get the results to improve that attendance.
