I, for example, disagree with Breifne regarding Jarvis... not going to get all hot and bothered about it though.

Lads, glad to see ye sorted this out yourselves.

No room for preciousness on forums, on this forum you'll have to have a thick skin as both myself and S_P would like to be as hands-off as possible. You will hear opinions you do not like. I, for example, disagree with Breifne regarding Jarvis... not going to get all hot and bothered about it though.

I also disagree with GD about getting the BP... this is a game we should win. Edinburgh are no world-beaters, and are missing 7 of their best players. We "sounded" on top in that game, so we need to convert the chances.

Not the end of the world for a Connacht team still getting to know one another. Let's see how we get on against the Dragons and a pretty impressive Ospreys next week. Then we should be looking for a more complete performance.

A Connacht is not just for the Xmas Inter-Pros...
A Connacht is for Life

I've been to the sportsground three times in the past 4 years.

Guess I'm not a supporter.  :'(

Of course certain Exceptions, but what I was trying to say is that everyone that goes to watch Connacht is a Supporter, ......Now can everyone stop being so bloody sensitive and picky on here !!!

At least the virtual handbags prevented anyone from blaming the loss on the ref.  :D  It's disappointing for us supporters to know had our team played up to their abilities a win was well within their reach.  I will say it's a bit funny to hear people say Nikora would have been the difference as he has yet to prove he is the complete package himself.  We knew coming into this season that without Keatley outhalf would be a potential weakness, though both Jarvis and NOC have stepped up to the challenge and deserve some space to grow into their roles.  we all know it was not just one player that contributed to the loss, so as been said let's forget about this one now and get behind the team for the Dragons' game.

Well if this is what happens after a loss this season is going to be as fun off the pitch as on it  O:-)

I think Desperado and Breifne should kiss and make up. With tongues. Go on lads, you might discover it opens up a life of possibilities  :D

Anyway, where were we? I know, discussing the match yesterday. Right. So, what has always been the golden rule? If you go behind you don't let the head drop, you plug away, you don't finish a match with zero points.

It's good to see that's still the case. After finishing ahead of Treviso, Glasgow and Aironi last year we should be looking at the Scarlets/Dragons/Edinburgh mid table group as our rightful home. We've taken a point off our rivals. That's a positive. Before the match most of us were saying it was going to be tough. We all knew that going in.

I've been worried about NOC joining us and I'm not afraid to take it back, that's one win and one LBP we have thanks to him. Even if Jarvis retains the starting slot, we will have a bona fide replacement on the bench, which is a big plus and that's even before Miah comes back.

Now, the kicks. Desperado makes a good point that they're not gimmies. But by the same token if they're not on or are low probability then there's nothing wrong with kicking for the corners.

I have every faith that Jarvis will come good with the kicks, but the pressure is on and the sooner it comes good the better. On the plus side he backs himself to make the kicks and takes them on, you don't want a kicker who's afraid to step forward.

Feck it, game is over, we move on. Dragons up next, a must win. The biggest question isn't if Breifne and Desperado have found true love, it's if we can get back on the winning path and if Dave and George are ok.

Peace!

We had a little disagreement on this very same thread but isn't that just the Rich Tappestry of Life. Let's just all get on and talk about Rugby after all that's why we are here.

Well, that's just my point, Dragon.  Desperado's little parting shot, "Supporter my arse," is completely unacceptable.  This is going to be a volatile place if we're having drama like that every time we have differing opinions.  Absolutely ridiculous.

Briefne there is no need for a knee jerk reaction here, the whole idea of a forum is to dicuss, and yes sometimes disagree, but that's life. If anyone decides to delete their accounts for any reason then surely we can let them.

And this post is going to help how precisely..?

Wind yer necks in everyone or this thread is going...

My thinking behind it is that our friend, Desperado, needs to realize not everyone is going to be intimidated into fitting into his mold of what a supporter ought to be.  If we're going to have people here threatening to delete their account every time someone makes an observation they don't like, I'd say we'd better delete the whole frickin' forum.
