Wouldn't have thought that he would have been banging the drum for either to be included after the shenanigans last spring/summer. Whatever about Carr, Hagan would be probably persona non grata in an Elwood squad.

Neither bitchy nor untrue. And it's not like we wouldn't welcome him back (that'd make for a tasty back 3).
At the Leinster game when Leo the Lion appeared for the half-time charity race the joke in the Clan Terrace was that it was nice to see Fionn get a bit of game time. And some bloke kept calling him Sharon (well "Shaddon" actually), so I can kind of see why he's in high dudgeon.

Cronin just tweeted that he's out drinking coffee with Carr now.
Would it be rude to tweet Cronin back saying that players in the Irish squad shouldnt have to pay for their coffee
Swifty

You seem to have touched a nerve there. Hard to know how to handle it, he's obviously upset and we wouldn't want it to be a situation where if we were approached about returning, he'd carp about it.ConnachtCows wrote:

Haha, just spotted that as well, and put it up on Twitter.
Their replacements with Connacht, Loughs and O'Halloran make it though. Fantastic
CARR is not happy on twitter with you cows. eat into him, he must be very p1ssed of
Any ideas of what I should say back to him?
Im after hearing that he text the kitman at Connacht, asking him, if he's Connacht Cows
I'd advocate the George Costanza approach of pretending it never happened and carrying on as normal.

ConnachtCows wrote: It's easy to forget that Loughney is 27, as he's only really pushed through in the last couple of years. Not too many players break through internationally at his age, in his position.
When Mike Ross signed for Harlequins in summer 2006, he had 1 cap for Munster and it was his first full-time deal. He was six months younger that Loughney (30 starts, more than twice that again as sub) is now. So time is, as you say, definitely on his side.

Interesting to see Fionn Carr and Jamie Hagen are missing from both squads. We'll never know if they would have been better off staying in Connacht, but I suspect they would be in at least the wolfhounds squad if they had.
