Chabal is going to Oz is to play one game for Balmain. Nice work if you can get it. But..he is signing for Stade Francais as a medical replacement on a three-month contract.

BTW - Now that the wheels are falling off the Racing wagon, Juan Martin Hernandez is looking for out. Perhaps, he would like a few months in Galway? :whistle:

I would second RonanL. This doesn't seem like a move Schmidt or Leinster would make. Perhaps he's coming on a good bargain in order to play for a winner and they like the cover he can provide at lock and No. 8.

I'd be very surprised. Hugely over rated - I genuinely believe his beard played a massive part in his success. The french loved the whole cave man thing.
