:pinch: That was only back in 2000. Haven't things changed?

An absolute legend is Swifty, deserving of every accolade and thanks from us Connacht Supporters. All you can ever ask of any player coming into the Province to represent us is that they do so with 100% commitment. If that was all he had done for the province then we'd be more than happy with that, but on and off the pitch the manner which he has and continues to represent us is a delight. He may have finished his playing days, but he is very much woven in to the fabric of Connacht Rugby's DNA for a long time to come...

Facebook rolled out facebook live the other day I believe (a blatant copy of periscope). It might make sense for the clan to broadcast stuff like this. All they'd need is a smartphone with facebook logged into the clan account, and everyone who has liked the clan facebook page would be notified as they go live.
What about those without Facebook
They'd miss it! The Clan already have a load of likes on facebook, so not much point going to the effort of attracting people to another platform that does the same thing. Anyway, I plan on being at the game so I'm not too pushed either way.

"Or Periscope or Youtube...."
Guess you'll just have to be there...

As ever, we will be recording it and posting it to YouTube! To see the list of previous inductees check out www.connachtclan.com/awards/hall-of-fame , and we have most of the speeches up on YouTube www.youtube.com/user/ConnachtClan/videos...dd&view=0&shelf_id=0 (Johnny O'Connors is brilliant if you haven't seen it)

In the Pro era, outside of Eric, Andrew Farley, (and eventually and inevitably Mul).
Swifty is the only other player who inclusion makes a significant emotional impact on me (cough, cough.... )

As some of you may have spotted, we will be delighted to induct the newest member of the Connacht Clan Hall of Fame after the Munster game next weekend. The newest inductee is:
*drumroll*
Michael Swift!
I can think of no one else who might deserve it more, and we're chuffed he's willing to accept. We hope to see you all in the Clan Bar post match!
