Has the dvd project been binned or what? Was sure I heard there was to be some sort of film being put together by the same crowd that did the wests awake dvd. That's a shame if it has been scrapped

I'm a bit disappointed that there's no word of a dvd season review. The year that's in it, surely it would have been a nice money spinner for the branch and a great memento for the fans this Xmas.

The way the broadcasting of games is structured SKY/TG4 for home games and then S4C, BBC Wales/NI & Scot etc...there are probably too many parties to get agreements with to make it worthwhile.

Would be a fabulous memento though...

John's book is getting good sales from what I heard from a newsagent. However... it's not "The Official" version.... If you plan to get autographs don't be flashing it around the Sportsgrounds for fear the Marketing And Suit people see players signing it....apparently a No No....Although I couldn't imagine any of the lads not signing it.!
John signed my copy at the weekend; a man with links and service to Connacht Rugby going way back. Great photos too.

GT's book is the "official" one - so hence the omission of going out of business perhaps?

Have dipped in and out of the two books again in the last few days and there is a great section with Aly Muldowney and Fionn Carr in John Fallons book. In the 42 piece GT says he'd love to have spoken with Muldowney, but its in the other book. Also no mention of the almost going our of business stuff in 2008 in GT's book. a strange omission

John Fallons book arrived this morning, some great photos in there on my first flick through!

I have read both of them. hands down John fallons one is the better read and the photographs are amazing.
The official book is not too bad, chapters on pat Lam and his arrival at the province are a decent read but overall ti is a bit light on detail i thought.
if you want to buy two there nice to have, but if i was to buy one id saygo for johns book.

I ordered it online last week, and it arrived on Monday.
Spent about 20 minutes just flicking through the pictures. It's an excellent purchase

Started reading it then last night. Really can't recommend this book enough

received my copy yesterday and not disappointed, it has a good mix of insider factual history of rugby in Connacht and a month by month recap of events as they happened last season, definitely worth having on the bookshelf

Do you have to order it online or is it available in any bookshops in Galway?
