Thanks for the tip-off. Won't make any plans based on it but good to know. I reckon if it was 5 or earlier an up-and-down trip would be doable, but 6 gets you into getting home at 2am kind of territory. Saturday night accommodation won't be cheap.
They were 1515 and 1835 KOs on Sat last season, which was also the bank holiday weekend, and the 1515 was in Thomond Park, which will probably be hosting again, but dunno how relevant that is.
For once I wouldn't mind a Sunday game - rooms are a lot cheaper!

Very unofficial, but the signs seem to point at a kick off time around teatime on the Saturday for the Semi Final eliminator v Ulster. As I said very unofficial.

Check with local Rugby clubs also, with season over there may be more interest from clubs organising coaches to travel up as a group....

Should be a cracking occasion, Rory Best's final home game too...
Maybe the Clan can organise something to present to him, arrange via the USC?

We'll look into all eventualities! Only issue being that we're not sure if its going to be a Saturday or Friday match at this stage. (Likely it'll be Friday, but sods law says...)

It's a fairly straight forward drive : Galway - Belfast 3 hrs, head to Dublin, hang a left and go straight for an hour.

Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

MulMan wrote: Just to get the ball rolling, wondering will there be any bus heading to this one?, and like was mentioned in another topic how will tickets work? From my experience a certain amount of tickets will be released to Connacht, then the rest released to Ulster and any remainders will go on general release. I assume Connacht Rugby will contact us most likely after Rd21 (as the QF's aren''t confirmed until then), which doesn't leave much time for planning.

Clan intends running a bus- waiting on match info (and subject to interest of course)

Connacht should get the option of around 4.5k tickets for this game (25%) of capacity. Last year, both "QF" games were on the Saturday.
