Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

Anyone who has bought a 2016/17 Season Ticket could probably buy tickets to the Semi Final I suspect.
When I log in, it's listed under next season's tickets, not this season's one.
So I guess you could have an increase in numbers there - unless they only emailed current ST holders.
My ticket was displayed as 15/16 ticket until I renewed at which point it changed to 16/17. So I doubt anyone with 16/17 season tickets and none for this year has the option to purchase. If they do tickets.ie are even more cack-handed than I think.

That said I absolutely agree with the general sentiment that STHs should have been guaranteed their ticket in their normal stand first (one day expiry). Then allow them to buy one extra in a first come first served manner for whichever part of the ground they'd like. Every season ticket holder is going to go to the match and but the other ticket for people who they know would like to go as well.
I've changed my mind about the above given the information that not only are Glasgow going to have their allocation in the Clan, but also Pro12 officials and corporate types...
Anyway I managed to get my tickets for the main stand so I am happy with that. I'll stand in my old usual spot and bang on the wall again. It's been a while

Only current season ticket holders have access to tickets; next season's is no good .

Tickets are open for 48 hours starting at 9am this morning.
Each season ticket holder gets an email and text (I got both this morning to remind me to buy a ticket) to say their ticket is reserved and you have 24 hours to claim your ticket. If you don't claim it, tough.
Then 9am tomorrow morning, anyone else with a season ticket can buy their ticket.
9am Wednesday morning, let the chaos ensue.

They allowed people to buy tickets before they should have been available (again, I will put my hand up and admit I got tickets this way)
Then their site went down due to demand (This is unfortunate. No one had a problem with tickets.ie (that I'm aware of) before this morning. They obviously never expected this demand. )
People should never had to queue outside the branch. This isn't buying tickets for Slane in 1998. This should all be done online.
The Pro12 would have decided that the away team get 25%. This would be the same across the board. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about that, so some Clan fans were always going to miss out anyway. If we had gotten an away semi final, we would have expected 25% of the allocation as well.

The branch should have been ready for it. Leinster, Munster and Glasgow were all sold out even with extra capacity added. Even the simple maths of 3000 season ticket holders times two tickets left almost nothing after the large away and Pro12 allocations were taken out. Poor show by them in my opinion.overstrander wrote: We're not used to this level of demand, you learn as you go I guess.

I think it's safe to say that that link will find its way into the public domain by Wednesday, so I reckon there'll be no returns from Glasgow. To ensure that Warriors supporters have first access to tickets, supporters are asked not to share the ticketing link online or with home supporters.
I don't think we'll see STHs behind the goals though. I reckon main stand will be as bad as it gets - could be wrong though.

for anyone who purchased on Saturday, if you go to my tickets, it's no longer TBC as the opponents, I haven't checked to see if the bar codes have changed, but you might want to download/print new copies , just in case.

Just learnt tickets were sold at the dinner on Saturday night and looked at the Connacht Rugby facebook page for postings as I couldnt get to but clan tickets (having been on that side for 14+ years for most matches) but anyway season ticket holder again next year btw
So first there was this post
Posted sixteen hours earlier, that would be 7:45pm (ish) on Sunday night 8th May and one of the replies he received was from a fellow purchaser at circa 9:45pm also on Sunday night!Bought some tickets last night through the season ticket log in - are these valid?
SO guys I am cross, yes cross and heading to the college road end - last time I was there I watched Johnny Wilkinson kick and Wayne Barnes reset the connacht scrum over, and over, and over until we had to make a mistake from sheer exhaustion - nothing to do with our scrummaging in which was excellent (The day Gerry Ryan died)So did I, I'm wondering the same thing!!
