From our point of view I agree- better than our backup 10s so could come in and do a job from us.
But from his point of view Ulster are a bigger club and he has a better chance of unseating Burns from his starting stop rather than Carty so makes sense for him to go there.

Potentially a very good player. Would have been a very good IQ signing for Connacht in a position that needs strengthening.

One player is look at but find it highly unlikely would be Manasa Mataele. He’s the player who Reece was an injury replacement for and would probably find it hard to get back in with the crusaders again with all the top class young backs they’re producing. Mataele is only 22 and is Seta Tamanivalus nephew (not as big as his uncle). I’d say if he does leave nz it would be to France though.

I think you're probably right that the boat has sailed on Reece. The fact that the announcement on the IQ's joining has been delayed could mean that they are still expecting game time before the end of the season. Will Nucifora/Schmidt want Conan, Doris, and Deegan all remaining at Leinster next season?
