Hear ye, hear ye. Can all you travellers send me on a paragraph of your experiences? I would love to make it into a front page article.

Ye can PM me if you like, and if you could include your real first name and where you were sitting that would be great.

Yeh cracking game alright, huge performances all through the squad. Very pleased with Tonnetti's effort, really picked up the baton from McCrea when he came on. But pack really laid into Glaws, and that created the platform for the halfbacks to operate, and with that extra tempo the gaps were appearing. No criticism of Kyle, but if it had been McCrea on the end of the near try move second half we would have scored (he has a centres pace, i.e. quick off the block).

Culk, apologies realised when I got back to Teagues Pub that I still had it on. Thought I'd see you guys in there, but no doubt you were creating carnage eleswhere... ;).I'll buy you a beer in Toulouse (with French prices, a Guinness should cover it.. :-) B) )

Voice is absolutely banjaxed, talking at a whisper since Saturday...

Brutal result after an excellent display.

Another major positive is that despite all the injuries, wouldn't it be good to know exactly who is injured and roughly when they are due back, we are still highly competitive with only 4 NIQs in the squad, and one of them is Rodders who will be soon. This matches both Leinster and Munster and beats the crap of out Ulster who had 7 NIQs in their squad.

What am I looking for as a Connacht supporter - a competitive team full of young Connacht and Irish players giving their all for Connacht. The current team are certainly giving me what I am looking for on that front.

All we need now is a bit of luck to get a victory and this team can keep growing and improving. With great support in the Sportsground, which I regard as a rugby stadium with a dog track and not the other way round now, we can build to being a team that can compete for the 3rd HCup slot on a regular basis and will be a place where our own young talent that is coming through will help attract other young players looking to play a decent level of rugby in an ambitious environment.

If Munster shuffle their deck considerably, we can win in Thomond. They'll have alot of hungry players playing but if our lads are fit and up for it then why not?

Stop overusing the garryowen and trust the outside backs. Munster may have a midfield of say Danny Barnes and Chambers, or maybe even Gleeson. The pace and power of McSharry and Griffin would fancy that I'd imagine. Up front, I'm sure Archer will start, and any 3 of Micko, Ryan and Nagle in the 2nd row. Back row could feature 1, 2 or all of O Donnell, Butler and Holland. Muldoon and O Connor would have too much nous and dog for these lads.

This is a very winnable game for. We must approach it like that and then we'll have nothing to lose when Leinster roll into town on New Years

Plenty of positives to take from that game. I expected it to be a repeat of last week up front but we were much improved and didn't let them dominate, JOC provides a bit of much needed dog in the pack, plenty of good performances up front, Niall O'Connor was much improved but still tended to take the wrong option when the going got tight near the end. We know what the lads can do in the backs if they get some right ball. The winning try was poor defensively, this isn't as infuriating as some of the Rabo games in that at least we "fronted up" and at least we showed a willingness to try and go for drop goals even if it didn't work out.

This is a step forward but really Heineken games will bring out the best in lads. After the Harlequins game we failed to push on with two dreadful efforts against Ospreys and Treviso.
10 defeats on the spin now, Munster or Leinster don't offer huge hope but from what I've seen of Aironi recently there is no excuses for not winning out there in January.

The rest of the season is about continuing to bed in a lot of the new and young players, clearing out some of the players who haven't worked out and getting busy targetting players to bring in 4/5 key positions that would take us forward next season.

Lets hope they rest a few

Quins at home is winnable, although they'll be coming possible needing 5 points. Hows about they leave it none

Quins won in Toulouse, very well deserved.

I'm thinking whoever finishes second in this group will be one that doesn't even qualify for the Amlin. You need try bonuses to keep up with the other second place teams. That's a great stat that we've overlooked, everyone targets the fourth seed for try bonuses, and no one has managed it against us.

4.Swift 5.Macca 6.Muldoon 7.O Connor 8.Naoupu, with the likes of Browne, Gannon and Ofisa to call from on the bench. That would be pretty good, provided Loughney can lock the scrum

Just managed to get to watch the highlights of the game now. Hard loss to take but the team played really well all over the pitch. Fair play to Niall great improvement in play and got some cracking kicks and really encouraging. Concrete was super to have back and looked really hungry. If we keep playing with this work ethic and attitude the second half of the season could be a good one. I think the team is starting to gel now. Keep the faith

Lads in fairness the game was very encouraging. The lads really lifted their games and expect for a bit of bad luck we would have had them.

The positive of all of this is our backline. NOC was much improved (at last and it had better continue), the centers were dangerous and Tonetti added some much needed defensive integrity to our wing.

Was very impressed by Tonnetti as after a couple of anonymous performances at centre he really seemed to turn up on the wing having replaced McCrea.

I'd add Tonetti to that as well, had an excellent game and popped up in support all over the place.

No doubting McSharry and Griffin

They looked alot more dangerous than Tindall and Sapolu, who are vastly experienced, hugely powerful and in Sapolu's case, supremely skillful. The door was closed on them in defence every time, Sapolu never got an offload away and Tindall kicked every time he got the ball.

McSharry hit the crash ball 3 or 4 times at real pace and got us over the gainline. He was just a weak shoulder away from going through the defence.

These lads are still young and improving, but they are the real deal and we blessed to have them for at least 2 more years. Great work by Eric and the branch
