Gutting to lose another close game, but this one was a little different.

Excellent effort from the players, no point listing who played well because to a man the effort was superb. Tactically we got it right, no knock ons negating their scrum and accurate kicking from hand particularly in the first half keeping them playing from their own half. Our aggressive defense blew away any chance they had of using the maul as a weapon.

Good work in the week between games by video and forwards coach.

My only slight criticism would be that we reverted to a couple of aimless up and unders when we got ahead and when we went 19 - 16 up near the end. Their try came from one straight down the middle when a clearance to touch would have brought them back into a breakdown fight where we had been dominant all game.

By the way, I thought that we were over hyping mcsharry and griffin but on that performance we have been under hyping them.

unlucky yet again!
we had them on the rack, they were worse than us but you could see that there were gaps outwide for them on several occasions, our tackling was not the best when they did go wide as we were stretched.
There is not a lot EE can do when the injuries list is so big.
I imagine he mya just have a 22 to pick from and be it in whatever position they can play.
Cannot fault the lads for commitment,Glaws were there for the taking and we didnt have the gas in the tank to stay with them for 80.
I was in the shed and the glaws fans were very quiet as not only themselves but the bookies thought we were soft touch at +14 in the handicap(very good bet imho)
anyways we got to keep going and roll on to thomomd!
I was happy that we went for it and rolled the dice(nothing to loose)and it was refreshing to see that sort of attitude in the team.
Must be very hard psychologicallyto be so close to winning games and not being able to cross the line time after time!
Did us proud the connacht fans in the ground!!!

Ref was decent. Allowed us to compete at the breakdown, and our quick line speed in defence wasn't classed as offside. That had alot to do with the low penalty count

I didn't think he was great to be honest. Our competitiveness was a leveller, we weren't under pressure and didn't give up cheap penalties as a result. The ref penalised Murphy for off his feet at a ruck after tindall came in from the side and scythed him down at the ankles. But he was the same for both, so hey ho.

I'm devastated now, not sure how I'll feel about that later.

Brilliant effort, but in the end just another loss. That's 10 and counting now...

As one of NOC's biggest critics, I thought he was excellent today, tactical kicking, place kicking and game management was good. Only downsides was the missed drop goal and falling off a couple of tackles.

He needs to consistently play like that to get us in the driving seat in games, it remains to be seen can he keep that up.

The overuse of the garryowen is alot down to Elwood I'd say, that was his preferred move when he played and it seems he's passing that on. From time to time its ok, but in general I don't like it because 8 times out of 10 we don't get the ball and the other team gets counter attacking ball. We showed today when we kept the ball in hand we looked dangerous. Breakdown and clearouts were much improved, no coincedence that JOC was playing and we got more quick ball

NOC had his best game for us, but there were stil too many aimless up and unders, especially those kicked in our own 22. With those he should have been looking for touch and/or distance.

Overall, though, absolutely gutted. Everyone tried their hardest, and a bit more luck with a couple breaks like the two from Tonetti and we'd have been golden. Killer result.

+1 on NOC. Felt he could have done better on the 2nd half DG, but most of his kicks from hand were on, he had himself positioned well on their kicks and overall seemed to know what he wanted to do and did it.

Big shout out to Niall O'Connor as well. I've not been a fan like that but he bossed that game from start to finish. 5/6 from the tee with the miss from 55 metres, and though he missed his drop attempt it was the right thing to try at the moment.

In general easily our best performance since the Harlequins game, we were, literally, one tackle from victory.

Learning curve. 1 lapse kills the game for us

If we can gain a killer instinct and learn from this experience we'll be all the better for it

This is happening too often now but it was a great show today, defence was brilliant led by the fantastic Johnny O Connor who owned the breakdown today. George is looking alot better, O Halloran, McSharry, Duffy and Griffin went well. Scrum was solid.

Heads up but this has to b turned around. Munster need to feel the full wrath of this on Stephens Day

was a tough loss, a lot of positives to be taken home from it, but showed up a few weaknesses, few bits of confusion at lineouts
