fairly even at the min but australia much bigger team.
watching tg4 and they were comparing players, one of the australian prop is 20 stone which ireland and connacht prop Boland is 5ft 8 and only 14stone
you'd expect backs at under 20 level to be 14stone, i was that weight when i was 13!
i know buckley is 16 stone at pro level which he gets away with.
i know of irish props at under 18 level who are 6ft 1+ and between 18-20stone so next year might see them coming through.
half time anyways!

best players we had i think were the centres. top talent in them.
france were unlucky with 3 of there players going off injured before the 31min.
apart from the 2nd half vs england on the mud pitch ireland have been the best team vs all there games they played. (vs SA was a close one but a great victory vs the hosts)

that penalty you spoke about came at the end where they wanted to run the clock down, the ref told him to kick it, he panic, and rushed and that completely messed up his kicking style.
I wouldn't judge him on it either but it was a diabolical effort. That golfing tee style of his is gonna have to be sped up as well. He reminds me of Keatley in his earlier days with the knee bending. I didn't see the Italian game and the 10 minutes he was on I don't remember him leaving an impression. I'm not saying he's bad just that he had a quite game.

i would really wonder if Kieran Marmion could push forward and at least make the bench for connacht's first team. might be light at the moment but we are not full of class players at scrum half.
