you mightnt be far wrong swifty although i would put him ahead of deasy to be fair.

there has been a lot of talk about jj for a while now so hopefully he will push on from yesterday and deliver on the obvious potential. i read somewhere that hes a nephew of mick galway but dont know if its true. hes def from the same village in kerry tho.

Keatley may well end up back in connacht and it would be good for him and connacht. Imo hes too good to settle for 3rd choice at munster.

i wont be surprised if jj see first team game time with munster this season.

could put keatley to 4th choice.
1 o gara
2 jj
3 deasy
4 keatley. if the coach think that he has been given a chance but failed to take his chance he could be playing b+i cup

jj hanrahans performance at 10 and goalkicking will have made keatleys holidays a bit more uncomfortable. a lot of people were wondering if he was a 10 or a 12 until yesterday!

Could easily poach one of them back rowers for the academy like we did with Mick Kearney. They won't be making a breakthrough for awhile.

Very impressive performance from the irish lads, although in fairness, South Arica played a poor brand of rugby and despite having 5 super rugby players they were very very average and made loads of mistakes

Kieran Marmion was our only representative, and he played well

Great game to watch. Was very worried about the difference in size before the game. But Ireland were incredible at teh break down and at most set pieces.

Brilliant result.

Ireland’s achieve a hard fought, deserved victory (23 - 19) over the host’s, South Africa, in the 1st pool game of the Junior Rugby World Cup competition in Stellenbosch.

It's an absolute farce! Conor Finn played in all 6-nations matches (came on as a sub in first one) & acquitted himself very well. Danny Qualter not in the squad... a joke!
Ruddock's an egomaniac- doesn't like any player with attitude.... even a good one. And I'm not suggesting Conor or Danny have other than the best attitude.
So what havethe Connacht players done since the interpro to merit being shafted. Nigel Carolan's Academy is the model for the other provinces but when it comes to International selection.........

Is anyone able to tell me has Shane Conneely had to retire? Someone on boards claiming he has had to retire due to a hip problem.

The representation is a joke you can see that from the team he picked against Munster development where barely gave any of the Connacht lads a look in for what was a trial game.

It's moronic alright. I rated Ruddock up this point after that selection I'm beginning to have doubts.

It's the season 12/13 so all the grand slamming winning Connacht u20s were available for selection

Absoloutely farcical that there's only 3 representatives

It being that Aaron Conneely (selected) and Daniel Qualter (not selected) share a birthday, probably not.

Isn't the U20 WC part of this season, as opposed to 2012/13?

Never mind Leinster, Connacht U20 handed Munster U20 their collective arse on a plate but even they have a bigger representation...
