Exactly. There's a good chance that Madigan will be involved in International squads in the near future so having a solid back-up is needed. After watching Reid a few times I don't see him as a 10 but as a 12. Time will tell.

Schmidt still has to win games and missing out HEC knockout stages will have him under some pressure next season. Gopperth's is a smart signing for Leinster. It's not like there was an IQ option available to them and Madigan will see no less game time and probably more than with Sexton there. And both Madigan and Reid will benefit from having someone of Gopperth's experience around.

There's rumours at Leinster that Nacewa might be on the way out. He's apparently received two big cash offers and with the NIQ rules making it harder for him stay he might leave. All speculation at this stage though.

Moved and Merged.

Its a good signing for Leinster but it's a precious NIQ slot in a role they have pretty good cover in (Madigan, Nascewa, Reid plus McFadden as kicker).

We do Rossie. It's in the other rugby forum and marked Leinster 2012/2013. Think JG is a good signing and will do well at Leinster.

Surprisingly we dont appear to have a leinster thread. We do now!

Gopparth has signed a two yr contract with leinster. He is a very good 10 and wont be coming to sit on bench. Id rate him as highly as nick evans at quins. I think schmidt is clearly saying that madigan isnt ready yet. And what does it mean for reid?

Interesting signing given the hullabaloo around the international 10 selection.

Not for a box of chocolates now if our jewelery sponsor were to make it a lovely watch...

It was Ladies day in RDS (Isn't it always), and in their wisdom Leinster Rugby decided to have a wheelbarrow race for couples at half time. The prize? For him, a new suit from some outfitter sponsor, nice one. For her.....a box of chocolates!! Unbelievable and the girls were doing all the work. Would never happen in Sportsground?

BP AFTER 26MINS, JOG ON TREVISO

while i was on it i went to leinster rugby's page to see how far up th..... well i only read the first comment from GAVIN DOYLE as i didnt know if i wanted to bang my head or his against the wall.

Any chance Leinster can negotiate our own TV deal, similar to what Ulster have with BBC NI? I'm sure Setanta would be up for it. I am fed up with TG4/ RTE ignoring our province. For the record, we are still ranked as the #1 team in Europe by the ERC.

They have, it's called oRTE....

But sure any dic*head with a keyboard can declare their undying love for a successful team, sure look at what the like of Munsterfans.com has drawn out as bad if not worse a lot of the time...

Fairly routine BP win for Leinster. We saw Treviso at the Sportsground during November when they were missing their internationals and they have little depth. You'd have to fancy Leinster for a home-semi final. I think the league will be their main focus for the rest of the season. Nice to see Dominic Ryan among the tries, think he has a good future if he can get an injury free run.

I actually think the other provinces are a bit hard done by relative to Munster in terms of TV coverage. There is pretty much blanket Munster coverage on TG4 and RTE.

Fitzgerald, D Kearney, McFadden, Nacewa all ahead of him. With Howlett rumoured to be retiring, he could feasibly be starting with Munster

In the Indo today Conway to Munster on a 2 year deal. No sure it's a wise decision with Carr gone and Niall Morris turning them down you'd assume he'd get more gametime but his choice.
